I was thinking of cases where he isn't a part of the pregnant woman's daily life...and,

If he didn't know about the kid, I think there must be some investigation. Because at the very least he completely neglected that he had sex with that woman and her growing belly wasn't his concern at all. Of course, it's a grey area, there are too many maybes and what ifs, and there would need to be law…
I think both decisions should be ultimately tied (with some extra time for the woman).
