I wasn't into the conventional action figures and other toys specifically designed with boys in mind. Maybe I should make an updated edit into this article inserting some of the types of examples you've cited?

I'd say my rural community had some impact on which of these commodities we enjoyed -- but moreso in the respect that kids in the bigger cities had more access to more of them! I don't remember what you've described about your parents, but it's very possible your parents and my parents simply differed drastically in their parenting styles based on how old-fashioned (mine) versus modernized (yours?) they may have been? Were their politics vastly different from one another? The main point is that it was more socially acceptable to hit and spank GenXer, Xennial, and Millennial children than it would be to inflict those same actions upon the Zillennial, Zoomer, Coronazoom, and Alpha children who were born after we were.

Unhealthy foods always having been around but having gotten worse (in terms of mass-marketing) when sold to parents of Millennials and subsequent generations -- yes!! That's exactly my point! My generation was when it began to get really bad, and it hasn't really improved significantly since then.
