I watched a CSPAN forum, several months back, where a panel of Black conservatives and Black moderates were discussing "antiracism" and "Woke" culture.
One of the panelists (I'd have to go back and rewatch it on my DVR, to cite the gentleman's name) stated how these academic philosophies have devolved to resemble a "religion."
I'd go one step further...and I'd liken them to a "cult."
This isn't to dismiss multiculturalism and inclusion; on the contrary, a truly pluralistic society is one where EVERYONE needs to be free to engage in uncomfortable, multilayered, and multifaceted discussions. The problem, of course, is the illiberal iteration of "antiracism" that explicitly seeks to exclude White people and/or males (men and boys alike) from communicating independent thoughts within such discourse itself.
And, of course, if you possess a so-called "mutable" attribute (e.g. sexual orientation, religion, some disabilities, etc.), you're relegated to some of the lower rungs of the metaphorical oppression hierarchy.
