I wonder if Bieber's critics would have absolved her of "cultural appropriation" if she had actually taken time in one of her videos to educate readers about the multicultural history of such cosmetics?

Which, I realize, is ridiculous -- she SHOULDN'T have to do that. The point is that I suspect NOT EVEN THAT would have satisfied many of the voices in the hyperwoke echo chamber.
