I wonder if the arrogant and cocky male power brokers are so brazen and obnoxious about it that it often gives the PERCEPTION that "high-status men" must embrace those traits...whereas, in reality, the softer and more reserved men (whom you've cited) who find in success in life are less likely to brag about it in public, so we as a society assume they just don't exist?
