I wonder if there's often something about "coming for" someone of the same sex that is particularly deep-seeded? Where they just know how to "get to" that person, in a way members of the opposite sex cannot?

When I was growing up, I was bullied in fairly equal numbers by both girls and boys. But (for me) it always seemed to hurt more, somehow, when it came from other boys.
