I'd never considered the possibilty that Jimmy and Quinta may have been in on it together, to stage the "snafu" as a way to elevate Quinta's own public image. But, now that the situation has escalated in the way it has, I doubt Quinta is going to admit to that...if indeed she was in on it.

I still tend to believe she had no idea what was about to happen, and she was just trying to navigate the awkward situation, as a Black woman, in the best way she could. I don't think Will Arnett even know that Jimmy was going to take it so far. I think it's most likely that Jimmy, on the spur of the moment, just decided to keep lying on the floor since he was swept up in the delusion that he was somehow being cute or clever by prolonging the bit.
