I'm a little confused by your narration of your workplace conduct. So, if you weren't going out of your way to make yourself seem nonthreatening or subservient...then what do you believe your default behavior would be?

I'm trying to figure out the distinction as to whether your behavior (that you're describing) would be considered authentic or performative?
