I'm amongst the oldest members of the Millennial generation, and I truly believe that Xers, Millennials, and Centennials (and probably the Alphas, once they come-of-age) have more in common than what divides us.
I remember growing up as a teenager, watching society's elders lambaste your generation (young twentysomethings and thirtysomethings, at the time) for "corrupting" everyone with "Friends" and "Ricki Lake." I was always on Gen X's side, even though I fell into the upper end of the subsequent generational cohort. Then I got older and, predictably, watched my own generation get maligned by everyone for supposedly being the new defective kids in town. Currently, Gen Z (Centennials, or "Zoomers") are experiencing it (although, for some reason, not to the extent that Gens X & Y did).
I cringe just imagining what excoriation society might cook up for the NuAlphas as they gradually enter legal adulthood.
