I'm confused.
I'm not a Publication editor, and I probably will never be one. I simply don't have the time (nor do I possess the objectivity) to run a Medium Publication. So does that mean it's unlikely that I'll ever be eligible to be considered by Medium for a nominator role/position?
I know this might sound bizarre -- but I don't even want to get paid for nominating other people's stories. I'd be content with being able to nominate a maximum of 2-3 articles per month to the Curation Gods -- in the hopes that my favorite writers' exceptional content might get them more widely distributed.
Obviously, I'd love for my own stories/articles to be the beneficiary of such a process (who wouldn't?!). But, as a reader, I'm tired of seeing the same redundant crap by the same one-trick pony authors getting Boosted/curated/shown favoritism over and over again when they're failing to bring anything new to the table. That's my main concern, as a paid member who isn't an editor -- lifting up overlooked writers and helping more of them to get noticed.
