I'm confused.

But, if that was the case, and she addressed it so quickly, during salad, why did she say ‘yes’ to a dinner date? If she wanted to be kind, or she only sorted it out after I asked her out, but before the evening of the dinner, why didn’t she offer to split the bill?

I'm confused. She told you that she only views you as a platonic friend (which is fine), yet, she STILL expected you to pick up the entire bill for your "platonic" dinner date?
She sounds sketchy.
