I'm confused as to what exactly Walters is objecting to...
Does he want teachers to ignore the fact that rioters were White, inflicting violence and hatred upon Black Tulsans during the massacre?
Or is he objecting to individual teachers who'd try to allege (within their classrooms) that the abomination that was the Tulsa Race Massacre automatically makes all White people inherently racist by default?
If it's the former, he's clearly suffering from white fragility and wants to deny historical truths (and hide them from present-day students).
If it's the latter, then I agree with him on that very narrow and specific point...but we still need to admit that the Tulsa Race Massacre resulted from systemic racism.
