I'm not convinced that Alphas are any "brattier" than the generations who came before them. I think past generations were just better at hiding it from certain authority figures than today's children are.

It's the latest iteration of the "Kids these days" trope that gives rise to anti-youth ageism. Zoomers are currently enduring it, us Millennials are still enduring it, GenXers have endured it for a long time, and you can bet so did Baby Boomers and all of the pre-Boomer generations since the beginning of time.

Alphas are just the latest public target, because children have always been undervalued in our society and that just gets amplified by the shameless nature of today's social media.
