I'm not overthinking it. There is very palpable bigotry directed at Baby Boomers and Millennials (in different ways, for different reasons), based on our BIRTH YEARS per se.

Meanwhile, GenXers feel ignored/invisible. Zoomers/Centennials feel disgusted that so many generations before them have repeatedly dropped the ball.

Alphas are just coming into their socio-political consciousness.

There is no "Gen Beta" yet -- they haven't even been born. When they do come-of-age, I doubt they'll be called "Betas" due to the negative connotation it invokes.

The generational labeling may seem innocent or innocuous, to a passive observer...but it speaks to (and reflects) the underlying trends of ageism eating away at our collective souls.
