I'm saying that some people "pass" as "White" quite regularly, but others don't. Sure, maybe they "pass" with some people...but not with everyone. Victoria is one of those people, in my view. Immediately, I suspected she was of Middle Eastern descent just from first glance when she initially appeared on TV. But there are many Black people who might have taken a first glance at her and said, "Oh, she's a White girl."

I agree that race, at its core, is nonsense -- but that's BECAUSE there's such a wide color spectrum of skin pigmentation out there...not in spite of it.
