I'm speaking from experience and observation over a long period of time. You're acting as though I suggested they each run interactive blogs where they try to "capture" people as though it's a mousetrap -- which isn't what I'm saying at all.

It happens on discussion forums and in daily conversations all the time. How about the next time I witness such an exchange happening -- say, someplace on Medium -- I'll tag you so you can see for yourself the dynamic I'm talking about.
