Intersectionality is the recognition that every individual can be advantaged in some aspects of their life and disadvantaged in others. Which is essentially what happens if we were to compare me with Michelle Obama. If you choose to view it as simply "being human," that's fine. But intersectionality is the term assigned to the juxtaposition of those realities within an individual's life.
