It's clear that the social media trolls, in this instance, were just REACHING for SOMETHING (anything!) to give them an excuse to criticize Chris Pratt.

I'm fine with criticizing celebrities and other public figures for their statements or actions...but the onus is still on the criticizer (even when it's me, doing the criticizing) to make a reasonable case for why the public figure's behavior is problematic.

Plus, we can ask public figures to hold themselves accountable without "canceling" them altogether.
