I've definitely gotten nervous when public speaking, quite a bit. One of the times I felt most comfortable speaking in front of an audience was when I was speaking at an undergraduate symposium (my research paper had been on gender bias in the courtroom of Judge Judy). I'm such a "Judge Judy" fan, I was able to field Q&As from the audience with great ease and confidence.
