Jahleel -- I identify with this narrative in a slightly different (but comparable) way...

I get heartwarmed when I see BROTHERS being supportive of their queer siblings. Whether it's between biological brothers or surrogate brothers.

I never had brothers, growing up...and that absence/void was only exacerbated by my unhealthy relationship with my father. So I've always sought out brotherhood in surrogate venues. Sadly, I'm still largely unfulfilled in that aspect of my life.

So, when I see gay dudes (especially those who haven't reached adulthood yet) being supported by their familial brothers or their spiritual/surrogate brothers (e.g. close friends, or male peers with whom they're in the process of developing platonic bonds), it brings literal tears to me eyes.
