Just like you, I'm also cautious whenever I initially hear that someone identifies as a leftist -- *BUT* I still try to get an individualized sense of their heart, mentality, and philosophy *before* automatically painting them with the broad brush that I rightfully would apply to the militant hyperwokesters.
