As in, when people who are trying to gain equality/equity for girls/women *ALSO* want to simultaneously promote a doctrine of "female exceptionalism" (aka "female superiority"). They often do this in covert ways...although sometimes in blatant ways, too.

Neofeminists try to pass off their dogma as "conventional" feminism. With their blending of misandry (as Penguin mentioned) into this type of worldview, the prefix of "neo-" might as well mean "NOT," in this case.
