Kitty -- I include myself amongst the contingent of gay men who don't see any problem whatsoever with the blanket term of "queer" (and, in fact, include ourselves as part of it).
Whenever I see "Queer" used within the context of social justice organizing, I just ASSUME that it's a collective reference to gay men, lesbians, bisexuals, transgender people, intersex people, and people who identify as genderfluid, nonbinary, asexual, genderqueer, or two-spirit -- all joining in solidarity as a unit toward the common goal of sexual sovereignty for everyone.
