Most of Chapelle's defenders have been saying that he is willing to have good-faith dialogue if his critics are willing to meet him halfway.
So now, when he's willing to engage in dialogue, he appears to only be willing to have it behind closed doors...so what everyone purportedly said will turn into a "He said, She said, They said" game of hearsay.
It sounds to me as though he's setting up a Kafka trap to benefit himself.
What I want is an honest dialogue; and, yes, I expect the same good-faith from those who want to criticize Chapelle, as well. Sadly, by all accounts so far, Chapelle has no desire to go there. It's all about HIM and preserving his elitism, iconism, and the "sanctity" of celebrity/comedian "free speech."
