My apologies, Elle. Here was the INITIAL excerpt I was referring to:

"The explanation of something by a man, typically to a woman, in a manner regarded as condescending or patronizing."

It was from your original piece, in which you'd cited it. Obviously, the part that I excerpted (to which you referred) in my previous response was written in your own words, and it's what I was/am praising as an articulate and clear definition. I should have made that delineation clear, in my previous response.

(I've only been on Medium for a couple of weeks, so I'm still getting accustomed to the technical practice of proactively excerpting from writers' op-eds)

I was comparing the subpar dictionary definition ("The explanation of something...") to the more comprehensive definition ("he interrupts or speaks over her...") that you'd provided. The former, possibly in its attempt to be abridged, glosses over the superiority complex of the mansplainer; the latter (as written in your words) makes the distinction beautifully. That was the contrast.
