My guess is that the improving/growing acceptance of LGBT+ folks amongst conservative Christians is coming from GenXers, Millennials, and Zoomers who belong to faith-based groups. They are realizing that practicing Christianity (or even voting Republican) doesn't have to be synonymous with bashing queer people.
