My middle school sex education curriculum was extremely heteronormative and exclusionary. I felt all alone.

I understand not wanting the straight kids to have to learn the details of gay sex, if they don't wish to hear about it; but I would have really benefitted from a "safe space" where I could have learned about consent, protection, and versatility in a classroom just with other gay boys.
