My trauma from my past (which seeps into my present) certainly has driven my advocacy and activism, you're right about that -- but regardless of whether or not I endured that trauma, it still doesn't change the fact that people outside of my life experience shouldn't be held hostage to the narcissistic whims of those who are trying to become "backseat social engineers."

What I've been through in my life has no direct impact on two random people (who happen to be of opposite biological sexes) who've never met me -- and whose interactions shouldn't need to be predicated on some cookie-cutter anachronisms.
