Of course we shouldn't take the "Defund the Police" slogan to the absolute literal. That's sidestepping the point.

Certain voices on the Left say that everyone should go along with promoting reform as "Defund the Police" simply because the architects who'd constructed the "Defund the Police" moniker are oppressed Americans. This is a flawed framework, and it won't result in any actual meaningful change.
