Oh, I understand that. I'm not sure where you've been getting the idea that I'm insulted. I'm just saying that if a TV show has a strong/loyal/passionate enough fanbase, there are ways around that. Look at "Roseanne" becoming "The Conners."

My guess is that they would have to buy Joss Whedon out of the series, and either Marti Noxon or Jane Espensen would take over in the creator role (although not necessarily as showrunner). It sounds like you are suggesting they're just playing it by ear, to see what criminal or civil charges are/aren't made against Whedon before deciding if they can move forward with any new live-action iteration of the "Buffy" franchise?
