Overall, this is a great piece...very hard-hitting and thought-provoking. What you call "pseudofeminism" can alternately be referred to as "neofeminism"...but, thanks to you, I've now learned a synonym (pseudofeminism) for it.

My main quibble with your piece would be that you seem to downplay the reality that many women are strong and independent people who reject this toxic brand of pseudofeminism/neofeminism. They have no time or patience for the "clubhouse" clique you describe, and they try their best (as many men do) to evaluate everyone based on their individual attributes. However, I understand why you chose to highlight the female personalities who are guilty of the more toxic and oppressive habits you've brilliantly articulated.

My other observation is that much of the neofeminist/pseudofeminist rhetoric is predicated along a heteronormative binary. Such a worldview from them is patently exclusive of gay men, bisexual men, trans women, trans men, and people who are intersex, genderfluid, nonbinary, or two-spirit. This is a big part of the general criticism against (what is often referred to as) "white feminism."

That being said, your piece is important for scratching the surface of such unspoken sins that pass as "female empowerment" these days.

A "must-bookmark," for sure.
