Sarah, I agree with everything you've expressed in this article, with the glaring exception of these two (highlighted) sentences...you are dead-wrong, here.

Rape of men/boys is normally relegated to a comedic punchline, specifically involving glorified revenge fantasies directed toward men (usually those engaging in criminal behavior) who "deserve" to get raped in prison (e.g. Jussie Smollett) as a consequence...or else it's portrayed as inflated fears of which men are "allowing" themselves to be terrorized, allegedly with no basis in reality...or, alternately, people (women *or* other men) telling a man who has been raped: "Well, that isn't actual rape. Stop whining. Be a man. You have life pretty good, because of your genitalia. Suck it up." You know, the way women who survive rape are constantly told (and gaslit) that it was all in their heads or wasn't really a big deal.

Of course, what I've just described, all-around, is obviously an effect of patriarchy and toxic masculinity itself -- which circles back around to the inherent dangers presented by MGTOW and its ilk, in the first place. But to suggest that coming forward and coping with sexual abuse/assault/rape is somehow "easier" for male survivors -- that's just plain intellectually-dishonest.
