Throughout the first nine chapters of his book Man Enough, Justin Baldoni considers distinctive areas of life that are so intensely tethered to traditional masculinity. When studying the anachronisms and gender norms that need reevaluation, he proposes numerous ways in which we can modernize how we view what is “masculine” for the Twenty-First Century.

In Chapter 10, which is the final chapter of this book, Baldoni concludes with an assessment of what he learned during his prolonged cerebral quest. He scrutinizes the nagging inquiry that most of us tend to ask ourselves: are we “worthy” people? By what basis is our value (to ourselves or to others) determined? What can the ruminations from this book teach us about humanity’s collective path forward?
