So, first of all, I'd like to inquire as to which planks from my rural policy blueprint you feel WOULDN'T appeal to more rural voters? Just curious.

Secondly, I read through your article from back in December...and, aside from how you sort of skirt around the issue that the current Democratic majority is slim and tenuous, it seems as though you're worried that Democrats will try to morph themselves into Trump clones in an attempt to appeal to the "Trump base." I believe that's a false choice. There are the die-hard Trump cultists who will probably never listen to reason...those are the voters whom your party will never win over, and I think everyone knows that. But then there are the "soft" Trump supporters, many of whom voted for various Democrats and Republicans in decades past (some of them probably also even voted for Sherrod Brown).

THOSE are the voters (people who casually voted for Trump without worshipping him) who I'm advocating the Democrats try to target. And you won't get all of them. But you can get SOME of them...and, in certain close races, that could be the difference between a Republican hold versus a Democratic flip (or vice versa).
