So I want to make sure I understand what you're saying, correctly...

Should changing rooms and restrooms be single-use (designed for individual use), by default? Regardless of sex or gender?

Or, are you saying that a majority of the general public wants us to divide changing rooms and restrooms into the following 4 options...???

1.) Heterosexual men

2.) Heterosexual women

3.) Homosexual men

4.) Homosexual women

If that's what you're saying, then where do we send people who are bisexual, transgender, or nonbinary?

Also, if we have separate changing rooms & public restrooms based on everyone's differences in biological anatomy plus sexual orientation...

Then how do you suggest we enforce that? Would it be the honor system? Or would people need to walk around wearing some visual designation that denotes our individual sexual orientations for everyone else?
