So I'm a polytheist with agnostic tendencies, so I sharply reject your stance on religion per se (unless your references to abolition are strictly regarding STATE-SPONSORED religion; then, I may have misunderstood what you'd meant, and I can get on-board with your philosophy). But, for the sake of argument, I'm going to compartmentalize your views on religion, and refocus on the other concepts you've covered.

I agree with everything you've said regarding: homosexuality, premarital sex, abortion, fairness & dignity, the myth of American exceptionalism, demilitarizing (as opposed to abolishing) the police, rejecting creationist indoctrination in public schools, and right-wing misappropriation of "family values."

Tradition per se isn't inherently bad; what's oppressive is when traditions become coercive and exploitative of other people.

I do believe there's a middle ground between collectivism and individualism. As in, maintain and create more programs for the public good, but allow sovereignty when it comes to individual expression and decision-making within that structure.

I don't believe in the arguments about expanding or reducing the size of the federal government itself. It should be about making sure the government works SMARTER (and, in some cases, more efficiently) in terms of serving the needs of citizens and residents.

I tend to come down on the side of crony capitalism being the real perpetrator, rather than the suggestions that capitalism per se is this evil phantasm stalking our society.
