Speaking as a gay man, I don't want straight people to feel guilty or bad about themselves when they consider the notion of heterosexual privilege.
I just want them to get to know me -- or any LGBT person in their lives -- as an individual, and learn about how being Queer has affected my past...and how it affects my present. I realize that not all LGBT+ people have the energy or patience to share (and that's fine) -- but I *do*...!!!
It's hypocritical for anyone to complain about people of the same sex displaying PDA when they wouldn't bat an eyelash if they saw an opposite-sex couple exhibiting the EXACT SAME behavior.
