Stephanie just articulated many of my own initial thoughts, when reading Marianna's piece.

How much of what we perceive to be "masculinity" or "femininity" is due to gendered societal roles that have been constructed for us, as opposed to biological or inborn traits? And, even if it's the latter: where does that leave people who'd inevitably be "the exceptions"?
