‘Survivor 47’ Features Profuse Competitors with the Gift of Gab

Season 47 of ‘Survivor’ claims to rival, according to its host, the betrayal and chaos from ‘Game of Thrones’

It’s that time of year again. As CBS’s juggernaut reality series Survivor enters its forty-seventh season (the seventh of its post-COVID “new era”), the anticipation amongst us superfans continues to build. This will be the third consecutive season where Survivor’s entire thirteen-week run is aired as ninety-minute episodes. On the fall schedule, it’s being paired with a new adventure-seeking CBS reality show, The Summit. The latter won’t premiere until October; but Survivor makes its return on Wednesday, September 18 beginning at 8:00 P.M. Eastern/Pacific.
