‘Survivor: Shifting Sands’ — Recapping Season 47

The 47th season of “Survivor” kept fans guessing which way power would swing, from one episode to the next

Survivor’s seventh “new era” season delivered one of the franchise’s most riveting installments yet. A combination of fantastic players, memorable personalities, stealth game moves, and balanced editing definitely placed Season 47 in the upper tier of Survivor gems.

Ever since the new era began in 2021, I’ve been releasing post-season recaps. With the absence of subtitled seasons (to reflect a theme or gimmick), it’s become a personal challenge of mine to “re-christen” each new season after the fact.

I’ve given the following nicknames to the previous six post-COVID seasons:

Season 41 — Survivor: Elemental Monsters

Season 42 — Survivor: Jungle Wars

Season 43 — Survivor: Savage Life

Season 44 — Survivor: Free Radicals

Season 45 — Survivor: Trial by Grit

Season 46 — Survivor: New World Disorder
