That's where adoption comes into play. A set of adoptive parents would be far healthier and more supportive for a child, in that situation, than two bickering biological parents who resent each other and put the child in the middle of their warfare. It would also be nice if adoption agencies quit showing bias against stable same-sex couples who want to adopt.

If a woman who is a biological mother (or a man who is a biological father, for that matter) wants to be a single parent, they need to have an extended village who can help them raise/support that child. Are there any social programs that could be implemented that would achieve that end?
