The evidence would be articles where the author is emphasizing how bad everything is, and how it's going to get worse...and then, they FAIL to follow it up with any practical or realistic solutions/fixes.

When these pieces show up on Medium's "handpicked" curation lists (via newsletter or feed), then that suggests to me that Medium's curators are enabling such content as clickbait or due to other motives.
