The First Amendment works both ways.
I don't think Jon Carl was suggesting that EVERY gay person must embrace a religious or spiritual connotation associated with things like tantric sex. Rather, he seemed to be suggesting that for LGBT+ folks who *are* religious or spiritual, it can be a healthy outlet for sexual expression.
I certainly didn't mean to imply that irreligious gay men should suddenly "find religion." I was referring to those gay men who already believe in metaphysics, such as myself.
If you rigidly link "getting rid of religious ideas" to the overall goal of LGBT+ empowerment, you are going to lose a lot of potential allies who actually reject the theocratic norms that you and I both oppose.
