The problem, Tim, is that the people who are into such self-flagellation are doing it so they can feel morally-superior.

I appreciate your attempt to get through to them; but, unfortunately, by now their cult-like mentality is already baked-in...the best we can do to reverse/counteract it, at this point, is to teach a resurgence of critical thinking skills to the Millennial, Centennial, and Alpha generations so that Performative Allyship doesn't become the recipe du jour within the racial justice fight for the next several decades.
