The Season 9 "Lottery Episodes" were retconned as part of a book Roseanne Conner was writing, and it sounds like they've applied the same concept to "erasing" Andy Harris from the show's canon.

"The Conners" has done a moderately-good job of bringing back a handful of old friends from the original series -- but they need to do it more often.
