They actually did one meta-style episode, addressing this: Jack was (rightfully) dejected about NBC censoring onscreen kisses between gay male characters...but by the end of the episode, Jack and Will end up sharing a garish public kiss on "The Today Show" (even though they're obviously platonic buddies who both just happen to be gay).
