This, in my view, lets older people off the hook due to when they were born; it inherently places a greater onus on younger people, solely by virtue of their age, due to The Association Fallacy.

I don't doubt that the second customer's INTENTIONS were good. But he needs to be corrected when his speech is inappropriate and tone-deaf.

Straight people aren't the arbiters of "letting" Queer people express their affection in public venues.

If he wants to blabber about how he believes his deity will punish complete strangers for simply being gay, the appropriate place for him to do that is in his church or in his private residence. If he hauls that shit out into public spheres, he *WILL* be challenged on it by folks who have just as much right to be in those public spaces as he does.

Yes, he has his right to free speech in expressing that sentiment...but I also have my right to free speech in pushing back against it.
