If Hillary Clinton had won the Electoral College but the Democrats had still failed to flip the U.S. Senate in 2016, Bitch McConnell would have simply left as many Clinton/Kaine nominees unconfirmed as possible. And you can bet that would have included any or all U.S. Supreme Court vacancies.
