This piece definitely resonated with me on multiple levels.
I've always looked at the term "privilege" in rather clinical terms. When someone tries to weaponize the term against somebody else, I don't deny that the privilege itself exists -- rather, I hold the individual engaging in the weaponization accountable for their own nefarious motives.
In terms of myself and my own identity...
In areas where I find myself privileged, I try to explore practical ways in which I can use my privilege to help make things better for the underprivileged.
And, in areas where I find myself oppressed, I try to identify allies who are supportive of the specific types of changes I'd like to see enacted.
