This piece really resonated with me in several ways, Tessa.
I don't necessarily share your belief that physical strength and IQ measurement are the best barometers for superiority. I prefer the metrics of common sense and compassion (which are difficult, if not impossible, to quantify).
The relationship that you have toward other women, in some ways, parallels the relationship I have toward other men.
I am disgusted by the regressive male psyche that embraces machismo, societal domination, and Darwinian philosophy.
I am likewise disgusted by the mealy-mouthed male psyche that embraces politically-correct virtue-signaling (as you touch upon, in your commentary on "wokeness") and guilt-ridden deference to others.
I prefer brotherhood with men who are independent-minded critical thinkers, who aren't afraid to be nurturing or generous (when the situation calls for it, that is), and who don't back down from claiming ownership and self-definition of their identities. By contrast, I have absolutely no use for the two archetypes of men whom I'd described, previously.
